Chinese New Year fun, January 20th

Teaching the Chinese language (Mandarin) is fun for teacher Yulin Zhang and learning it is just as much fun for the students. It certainly is one of our flagship teaching efforts, and it us among all local schools. Yulin brings in the cultural insights, too.  She again organized a celebration of Chinese New Year on January 20th. Students wore costumes and walked the local area with a classic dragon figure, a symbol of good luck. They enjoyed games outside, including a tug-of-war for young students and the same for older students (and some parents) plus a 3-legged race. Yulin gave students traditional moon cakes.
