Congrats, VIncent. It was your school that gave my daughter, in 3rd grade, the confidence and drive to do her very best in her classes. Your teachers encouraged us to keep speaking in Spanish to her. The public school a year earlier said it would confuse her. She’s now a Jr in High School, in her 3rd year of Mandrian and will be a legal intern this summer in a law firm in Bogota Colombia SA. Comments from the mother of N, who as a small child was mistakenly suspected to have Asberger’s syndrome; he did not like close contact with anyone. During the year before he attended LCA he had severe problems in the public schools. After several months’ time at LCA he spent part of a big family gathering speaking with each of his aunts for several minutes, hugging and kissing each at the end of the conversation. Several of them cried, saying they never thought they would have such close interactions with him. The following is about his move back to public school:
